Conditions of Sale
- Attendance at the auction is free. A bidder’s ticket will be R60.00, which will be refunded after the auction.
- All persons registering as potential buyers will be issued with a printed catalogue on the evening of the auction.
- The highest bidder is the purchaser, subject to the reserve price being met.
- Goods are sold “as is” and prospective buyers are therefore advised to inspect same to determine quality and authenticity.
- Although the Clivia Society (CS) and the Northern Clivia Club (NCC) facilitate the auction, neither they nor their office bearers are responsible or accountable for the authenticity of any item on offer.
- The vendue roll (auction list) of sale is final.
- Bidding and payment will be in South African Rand.
- Payment will be made by credit card or bank guaranteed cheque in South African Rand within 24 hours after the auction when ownership and responsibility for the plant is transferred to the new owner (buyer).
- Successful buyers will be personally responsible for the export of their plants. The 2006 Committee will, if requested, assist buyers in obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificates for export purposes. The buyer will be responsible for all costs in this regard.

Section winners from the South African National Clivia Show purchased on the silent auction will remain part of the Show until Sunday 10th October 2006 when they may be collected from the de-benching panel at 15.30.
